Honestly I’m not an avid fan of Curren$y
I wasn’t on Curren$y until he moved to his more recent solo moves.
I can’t even lie Pilot Talk was a good album (7/10).
I feel as if Smokee Robinson was more music of the time. The music with the catchy lyrics and songs that every one can vibe to. Although you have to take on the fact that mix tapes don’t have AR and other Def Jam execs stripping you down so I can appreciate the change up.
Like other Artist Curren$y’s album seemed as if it was geared more toward his fans. If your not a Curren$y fan already this album wouldn’t be the one to pull you in IMO.
I commend Curren$y on Pilot Talk. Why?:
Beats were on point. I wasn’t disappointed with any of the beats on the album very clean and in line with his style.
He was Curren$y I’m use to hearing about cars, shoes, weed, and other various things. He stayed true to this, spit about what he lives.
His features ( other artist on the album) were great I think there was one artist in one song I didn’t like. Made wonderful selection in features.
This isn’t an album you can listen to once and be done.
